The most skilled HM slicers can use their skill in nanotechnology to convert some weapons into powerful nanotechnological weapons. Slicers can modify the energy converters of blasters such that they can occasionally deliver a package of damaging nanites, and blade or knife type weapons can be modified to release damaging nanites into bloodstream of their victims.

These weapons must be continually supplied with damage nanites to be effective.
